Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited, how visitors find the site and whether the site works across different browsers and devices.

Google Analytics receives information such as the page address and title, referral source, approximate location, device and browser details, and interaction data. It sets first-party cookies including _ga and _ga_6CGGFD2HQK to distinguish visits. The analytics tag runs only on nathanoldfield.tech, not on the public pages.dev preview hostname.

You can block Google Analytics with your browser or a content blocker. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google explains its handling of Analytics data in its Analytics privacy documentation and privacy policy.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse and diagnose faults. Its handling of that information is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Email

If you email me, I receive the address you used and anything you include in the message. I use it to read and respond to your email and may retain the correspondence where it remains relevant. Please do not send passwords, credentials or other sensitive information by email.

Embedded content and external links

Some older articles include YouTube videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain. YouTube may still receive information when an embedded video is loaded or played. Links to other websites are governed by those sites' own privacy practices.

What I do not operate

This site does not provide user accounts, comments, purchases or an on-site contact form. I do not sell personal information collected through this site.
